Terms of Use
Last updated: 7 September 2026
These terms govern access to and use of the Merva platform during its current pilot phase. By creating an account or using Merva, you agree to these terms on behalf of yourself and the organisation you represent.
The service
Merva is a shipment document review platform for customs brokers, import teams and freight forwarders. It is currently provided as a pilot and is being actively developed; features may change.
Merva assists operators in reviewing shipment documents. It supports human review and does not replace the operator's own judgement or their legal responsibilities.
Accounts and security
You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for keeping your credentials confidential. Enable two-factor authentication where it is offered or required, and tell us promptly if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account.
Acceptable use
Use Merva only for lawful purposes and only for shipment documents you are authorised to process. Do not attempt to access another organisation's data, to probe, bypass or break the platform's security or tenant isolation, or to disrupt the service.
Customer content
You and your organisation retain all rights in the documents and data you upload. You grant Merva the limited licence needed to host and process that content in order to provide the service.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload the content and to have it processed by Merva, and for complying with applicable laws when you do so.
Our intellectual property
Merva, including its software, interface and brand, remains the property of Merva. These terms do not transfer any ownership of the platform to you.
Availability and warranties
During the pilot, Merva is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Merva is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from use of the pilot service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end access to protect the service or its users, or where these terms are breached. You may stop using Merva at any time.
Changes
We may update these terms as the platform develops. We will update the “last updated” date, and continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
